COVID-19 put the world on notice of the importance of skilled workers. Skilled tradespeople kept the world functioning while traditional 9 to 5’ers stayed home. I don’t believe Troy Johnson set out on this mission in 2005, but he has embraced the value of education partnered with safety, skill, and technique that will pave the way for future generations.
I had known Troy before he started the Fab School, and I know him from his love and commitment to the Off-Road Industry. Today Troy is an active racer and can be seen at NORRA 1000 races and KOH, SCORE, BITD, etc. He lives in this community and instills it in his students. At King of the Hammers and the NORRA 1000, Fab School Students are on hand to help students with mechanical problems and provide welding services.

FOUNDER - TROY JOHNSON
Mission Statement
The Fab SchoolTM provides students with the technical and hands-on skills required to become marketable candidates for entry-level employment in metal fabrication, welding, digital design and manufacturing, and carbon fiber (composites) industries.
The Fab SchoolTM is a private, post-secondary, vocational school that specializes in providing hands-on training for those exploring a career in metal fabrication, welding, digital manufacturing and composites. The school was founded in 2005 by Troy Johnson, a veteran in the fabrication and off-road industries with more than 25-years of experience. He had a vision to start the school as a way to train the next generation of fabricators to work on his and his friend’s race teams, and it’s just taken off from there. Troy has hand-picked some of the top industry professionals to join The Fab SchoolTM as instructors, each possessing over 10 years of experience in the fabrication industry. Troy and the instructors take pride in passing their skills, expertise, and industry knowledge to the students while preparing them for an exciting hands-on career. The Fab SchoolTM is located in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The Fab SchoolTM is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education, (COE). The COE is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency. For more information regarding the Council on Occupational Education, please visit www.council.org.
The Fab SchoolTM is a private institution, approved to operate in the State of California by the California Bureau for Private Post-secondary Education, (BPPE).
The Fab SchoolTM is approved to offer federal financial aid thru the U.S. Department of Education’s Title IV program. ABOUT THE DIRT EXPO
The DIRT EXPO is Arizona’s Original and Largest Off-Road & UTV Expo. Since 2002 Andy Myers has been putting on Arizona’s Premier Off-Road event. Originally called the Arizona Sand Expo the Event grew into one of the States Largest Expos and encompassed the entirety of the Arizona State Fairgrounds. In 2009, the Expo was canceled due to the economic downturn.
In 2015, the Expo returned as the International Off-Road & UTV Expo. In 2022 it was decided to scrap the name and go with a New Venue, New Name, and a New Plan. The 2022 DIRT EXPO is being held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. “Everything Off-Road” is the mission.
