For more than four decades, Best In The Desert has been recognized as one of North America's premier desert racing organizations. Founded in 1984 by the late Casey Folks, the organization has produced iconic races including the legendary Vegas to Reno, Parker 425, Laughlin Desert Classic, and Silver State events. Today, BITD continues under the leadership of Casey's sons, Daryl and Bryan Folks, carrying forward a tradition of professionally organized desert racing and athlete development. 

Desert racing has always been more than crossing the finish line. Every mile of rugged terrain becomes a testing ground for suspension systems, tires, communications equipment, navigation, recovery gear, lighting, safety equipment, and vehicle durability.
